Idris Elba isn’t going to give you a chance to speculate about his sex life. Not today, anyway.
The hunky Star Trek Beyond star is shooting down a rumor that he and Madonna have a little something-something going on. It stemmed from a weekend report in The Sun that stated that they “only had eyes for each other” (what a tabloid line!) — and kissed “passionately” — at a party following his kickboxing debut.
In what is up there with the best denials in Hollywood history, this is what the actor, 44, posted on Twitter early Monday morning: “Am I sleeping with Madonna? No motherf***ers… ‘Don’t believe the Hype.’”
No ambiguity there.
The Wire alum’s love life has been a hot topic this year. Four months after splitting with Naiyana Garth, with whom he has a 2-year-old son, Winston, the duo walked the red carpet at the BAFTAs in May. However, it remains unclear if they are an item.
Elba’s big focus right now is on professional kickboxing. The actor, who has also appeared in Thor and Luther, has been documenting his training professionally as part of his upcoming Discovery series Idris Elba: Fighter, which will premiere next year.
Madonna was in attendance on Friday for his first fight at London’s York Hall and documented the bout on Instagram.
The iconic songstress, 58, later Snapchatted them “sparring” in what appeared to be a bedroom, which seems to have gotten the rumor mill started.
But Elba isn’t letting us believe the hype. For the record, Madge and Elba go way back. He’s also a DJ, in case you didn’t know, and opened up for Madonna during the German leg of her Rebel Heart tour last year. At the time he described her as a “legend.”

Doesn’t seem that the new description is “lover.”
