Yomi Adagazu, Director of Child Development in the Nasarawa State Ministry of Women Affairs, has raised alarm over increasing cases of abandoned babies in Lafia, the state capital, and environs.
Mrs. Adagazu expressed concern over the trend in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, on Tuesday in Lafia.

She noted that three babies were abandoned at different locations in Lafia and environs within the last one month.
Governor Fayose Visits Fani Kayode In Custody
The Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, Tuesday said the continued detention of the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was an act of vendetta.
Speaking with newsmen after his visit, the governor called on the federal government to stop playing god and allow the former minister to enjoy bail earlier granted to him by the court. The governor questioned the rationale behind the former ministers continued detention since the EFCC has resolved to arraign him on November 10.
