Dems find early scapegoat in FBI Director Comey

Democratic strategists will spend years seeking answers to how they could have charged into Tuesday's elections with such high hopes only to suffer such a catastrophic, across-the-board defeat.

In the meantime, they have James Comey.

The FBI director stunned the political world late last month when, just 11 days before the election, he announced an extension of his investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while she headed the State Department.

WikiLeaks hit with 'targeted' cyberattack after publishing over 8,000 more DNC emails

Like prior releases, the emails contain a mixture of internal briefings, behind-the-scenes chatter and planning for the 2016 election season. WikiLeaks previously released nearly 20,000 emails that showed how the Democratic Party had always favoured Clinton over her closest rival, Bernie Sanders.
The most notable story to emerge from the latest batch of emails so far is that DNC staffers reportedly prepped interview topics for a CNN interview with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. The email, sent on 25 April 2016, was titled 'Trump questions' and asked others to submit questions of interest.
The source of the email leaks remains unknown, however one mysterious figure using the pseudonym Guccifer 2.0 previously claimed to have sent hacked DNC data to WikiLeaks. Many analysts – including the US government – believe Guccifer 2.0 is a propaganda tool used by Russian intelligence.
The authenticity of the DNC and Podesta emails have not been confirmed – nor denied – by the Hillary Clinton campaign yet some officials have repeatedly claimed some of the leaks may have been tampered with or alerted by WikiLeaks or its source.
Indeed, on 6 November Hillary Clinton's communications director, Jennifer Palmieri, posted a tweet that said: "Please remember that if you see a whopper of a Wikileaks in next two days – it's probably a fake." WikiLeaks' official account replied: "Biggest 'whoppers' are those your campaign has been telling. WikiLeaks will continue its perfect record."
Previously, Assange has indicated that forces aligned with the "DC establishment" had attempted to disrupt WikiLeaks' operations via cyberattack. Speaking at a recent conference via telephone he said his leak had "whipped up a crazed hornets' nest atmosphere" within Clinton campaign.
In response to the ongoing leaks Assange claimed "there were many attacks and the US DC establishment – which believes that Hillary Clinton will be the winner of the election – tried to find different ways to distract from our publications." He added: "They started attacking our servers with DDoS attacks and attempted hacking attacks."

Poll: Who will be the next president of the US?

New DNC Emails Expose More DNC-Media-Clinton Campaign Collusion

Hacked email: Clinton miffed by Pelosi's 'non-answer'?

WASHINGTON (AP) — A hacked email released by WikiLeaks on Sunday suggests Hillary Clinton was miffed by Nancy Pelosi's initial refusal to endorse her during the Democratic presidential primary.
Clinton aide Huma Abedin noted in a July 16, 2015, email to a list of people including campaign Chairman John Podesta that Clinton had asked for the House Democratic leader's endorsement over Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Daily Caller Exclusive: Virginia Gov. Pardons 60,000 Felons, Enough to Swing Election

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has granted voting rights to as many as 60,000 convicted felons just in time for them to register to vote, nearly five times more than previously reported and enough to win the state for his long-time friend, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. To get around that,

Edward Snowden Kills Team Trump's New Conspiracy Theory By Explaining How The FBI Can Quickly Comb Through Email

On Sunday, FBI Director James Comey declared for the second time that Hillary Clintoncommitted no crimes regarding her use of a private email server while she was Secretary of State. Unsurprisingly, the reaction to this news was a highly partisan one, and perhaps Comey did work some damage to the Clinton campaign (as was the main criticism of his poorly timed public announcement). We can only speculate about that until Tuesday ends.
Speaking of speculation, a conspiracy theory immediately popped up on Twitter after Comey issued his letter. The bureau took about a week to comb through 650,000 messages amid all of the unsavory flotsam that surely resides on Anthony Weiner’s laptop. This was a lighting fast result, but was it too speedy?
Trump enthusiast General Michael Flynn — who was last seen declaring that Mark Cubanwas “not a legitimate person” — questioned how Comey and his staff could possibly dig through an average of one email per second. He tweeted that this was “IMPOSSIBLE,” and “something does not jive.”

And so, a conspiracy theory was born and began to spread like wildfire across social media. Jeff Jarvis of BuzzMachine decided to confront the storm head on by calling upon Edward Snowden for a judgment call on how long the process would truly take.

Snowden’s answer was swift and indicated that the task could be completed in a few hours, tops, even with a crusty old laptop.

Pirro: Clinton's Guilt a 'Moot Point' -- 'She Cannot Take the Oval Office'

This week on Justice, Judge Jeanine Pirro offered her final Opening Statement before Election Day 2016. Pirro laid out the case for why Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton cannot be allowed to move back into the White House. "We cannot have a country led by a president subject to ongoing criminal investigations, potential indictments and never-ending hearings. We cannot have a president under that level of scrutiny, that inevitably leads to even more questions and more investigations," she said. "Irrespective of what happens to her-- whether she's indicted or even guilty-- it doesn't matter. Her guilt is a moot point. She cannot take the oval office." Pirro called Tuesday's decision

Emails show Sanders made peace ‘agreement’ with Clinton

Bernie Sanders’ insurgent primary battle against Hillary Clinton may have been just an act, leaked e-mails reveal.
A May 26, 2015, memo — among a batch hacked from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta and newly released by WikiLeaks — cites an “agreement” between Sanders and Clinton that should have kept the Vermont senator from criticizing her wealth.
“This isn’t in keeping w the agreement,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook wrote to Podesta, referring to remarks by Sanders. “Since we clearly have some leverage, would be good to flag this for him.”
